The Davis house is located at the Mountain Farm Museum just outside of Cherokee, NC at the Oconaluftee visitor center in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.  The Davis house offers a rare chance to see a log house built from chestnut wood, where most chestnut trees died due to a rapidly spreading blight through the forests in the 1930’s and 1940’s.  This piece is also part of a collection.  The Enloe-Floyd Barn Collectible Wood Piece.   Can you find the hidden cat that is hidden on each piece of this collection.  It is handcrafted on 3/4″ thick and measures 5 1/2 x 3 1/2 inches.

Visitors can get information about things to see and do in and around the national park and shop from a wide selection of books, gifts, and other Smokies merchandise. Daily, weekly, and annual parking tags for the national park are also available.
