John Oliver Cabin Wood Ornament

The John Oliver cabin is the first and oldest historic structure on the Cades Cove loop in Great Smoky Mountains National Park. John, Lucretia, and their young daughter, Mary “Polly,” arrived and settled in Cades Cove in 1818. Generations of Olivers lived on the homestead until the park was established over a hundred years later. This wood ornament is replica of the Oliver Cabin and includes an ornamental tag that says, “Great Smoky Mountains” with current year.  Ornament measures 2.75 x 2.5 x 2.5 inches.

 

All proceeds generated through the sale of Smokies Life merchandise go to Great Smoky Mountains National Park to support projects and services.

The Great Smokies Welcome Center is located on U.S. 321 in Townsend, TN, 2 miles from the west entrance to Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Visitors can get information about things to see and do in and around the national park and shop from a wide selection of books, gifts, and other Smokies merchandise. Daily, weekly, and annual parking tags for the national park are also available.
